Software side of PCIe

Hi,

I have started to work for the software side of PCIe DMA. I have no idea about where and how to start. I am working on Linux platform. I haven't worked for any kind of device driver before. kindly help me by pointing the right direction. Any related link or book name will be highly appreciated.
