    then other then upgrading to a newer versions, I doubt there is a lot you can do.

    i deleted the db already, but it still having the same error.

    surely it should work with a newer version.

    Try deleting the db directory and try again.

    i do not face any fatal error with the newer version. however, i need to use version 8.1 because i am using nios2 with version8.1.

    its there anyone can help me with this error? i hardly can solve the problem even i reformat my laptop and reinstall the quartus II 8.1
