problem connecting DE1 board to computer

Starting with Quartus II program to the point of connecting to DE1 board. After choosing from toolbar "Tools>Programmer" with the "Programmer" window, the space next to the icon"Hardware Setup" should indicated "USB-Blaster", but mine is blank. Window manager devices shows the USB Blaster(driver for the DE1) is ok and working properly. The DE1 board plugs in another computer and tested the board is working. Any ideas why in my computer "Programmer" window, "Hardware Setup" icon does not recognize and how to correct it.

    I face the same issue each time I plug in my DE1 board. After closing+reopening quartus as well as replugging the USB cable to the PC, it gets detected by the Programmer.

    No idea why this happens though :mad:
