NIOS II and flash compatibility

Hi All, Can I use any CFI Flash device with NIOSII? In this case, where does the SOPC builder know where to get the flash driver from? Appreciate all the help. -sanjay

Isn't the point that if the flash is CFI-compliant it should, in theory, just work? You do need to specify the signal timings for your device. There is a list of devices verified as compatible in the NIOS II Flash Programmer User Guide.

Has anyone had trouble getting a particular CFI-compliant flash working?
