how to program the LCD display in assembly

hello , well i'm using the Nios II processor to process some data inputs and i wanna display some results on the LCD display available on the DE2 board . after instantiating the LCD module in the sopc, how can i program it to display the required results . i'm using assembly language to program the nios II............. please can anyone help me !!! thanks
