How can I use the serial BER fuction in StratixV device?

Where did you find the documentation on non-intrusive EyeQ monitoring in Stratix-V devices ?

I'm looking at the latest Transceiver PHY IP Core User Guide. It only has Horizontal and Vertical phase EyeQ registers. From what I understand, those are setting up data sampling clock. You need to implement error checking of the data. Also, the received data has to be known, for example specific PRBS pattern.
