functional unit sharing in the data path

Hello,

can someone tell me if Quartus is able to share functional units?

Do I need to code the FSMD in 2 or 4 segment style?

At the moment I use one segment coding style of the fsm and it seems Quartus doesn't share sth.

    There exists a "Auto Resource Sharing" setting at "More Analysis & Synthesis Settings".
