File Compression in QUARTUS II 9.1SP2

I am currently using quartus ii software build 350 03/24/2010 sj web edition to design my Cyclone II based projects. I want to compress my .sof output files into smaller .jic ones to save time aft...

thank you for the information.

I am willing to use quartus 11.0sp1, however, there are restrictions in the company I am working for. For that reason I have to use quartus ii 9.1sp2.

I tried to upgrade the system of a colleague, who is using windows xp.

The Quartus software which is running there is the same as mentioned above.

It was not possible to install the patch on his computer either.
