External circuit connection

Hi,

I want to connect an external circuit to UP1 board (Flex10k). How the connection should be? what is the common (anode/cathode) for the external circuit?

The external circuit contains 7 segment, on/off switches and led's..please help me about the connection. and did i have to use an ADC ic?

    just assign at i/o pin.. and just set '1' and '0' in your program... which university are u from?
