ethernet blaster dead? red-green still blinking

Dear Experts,

something happened to my ethernetblaster. Since some non-identifiable time I cannot start the ethernetblaster, which was before working. Now, whenever I plug power, the red-green led diode keeps blinking forever, and does not go into this 'green-decaying-blinking' state. No ethernet connection whatsoever and it does not even react on reset button.

Is it dead? Can I somehow recover? After all, it is quite expensive piece of hardware. Is there a way to use USB blaster to burn directly firmware into that box? Just to see whether it works. Are there another methods how to diagnose the problem?

thanks

david

It may be that the EthernetBlaster is having trouble with DHCP (can't get an IP address) or something like that. Have you tried watching the packets it sends with wireshark or similar?

unfortunately the blaster does not seem to reach even initialization of the ethernet controller as both diodes on the ethernet plug are turned off. I think that the only way how to try to ressurect the unit is to burn there new firmware via jtag. i've opened box, measured voltages and everything appears ok...
