EP3C25E144C8N replacing

Hi everyone,

I want to know that there are any memory inside the ALTERA processor EP3C25E144C8N which configured with EPCS16. Config mode as a Active Serial thru JTAG 10 pin header unit.

Only i want to know that if i am going to replacing the ALTERA processor EP3C25, i need to do program again or all the memories inside the EEPROM EPCS16.

Suggestion are most welcome.

The memory inside the EP3C25 FPGA is RAM, and its contents is lost when you shut down power. The only memory holding the configuration is the EPCS16 flash so if you just replace the FPGA you don't need to reprogram it. You only need to reprogram the board if you change the EPCS16 flash.

Thanks for your reply Daixiwen. Also same like all the Cyclone 3 FPGAs?

Yes it's the same for all Altera FPGAs, except for those with security features, such as the Cyclone 3 LS, which require a special procedure.
