Well, at least the warning is gone. :)

Have you tried single stepping through the UART example code instead of running "start"? Since it is receiving an invalid instruction interrupt, I wonder if you see this on the first instruction or if it dies somewhere along the way.

Also, can DS-5 see the external memory locations in the memory window?
