do altera produce 100Gb/s fiber port on board or development board?

do altera produce 100Gb/s fiber port on board or development board?

if just want to make a switch with fiber port, any difference in ethernet design? how?

can development board be a production board which using IP with plugin?

if not, how can i submit the design to factory to produce? at least how many boards?

    No. They had a demo board with Avago optical links, but I don't think that is offered as a product.

    They do have 100G design kits:

    http://www.altera.com/products/devkits/altera/kit-stratix-v-gx-100g.html

    You plug optical modules into those boards.

    You'll have to answer these questions for yourself. For example, download the reference designs for the 100G kit and see what is used, then determine the pricing of the IP.

    You would then have to design your own board to meet your own specific requirements.

    when using 100Gb optical port, what is the actual max and min speed or performance after measure? less than 100 micro seconds?

    I have no idea. Read the kit documentation. Install the software. Run a simulation. File a Service Request with Altera.
