De2 board Expasion Header

Hello everyone,

I'm a new De2 board learner, now I want to use expansion header to light a led cude (vhdl), but I need to study more about expansion header, anyone can help me? or email me some simple example code?(zhanjj135@ hotmail.com

    I try to send a bit to one pin ,and test high voltage,but it doesnt work , then I sent to a red led, it work , I dont know whats going on? does it send the data through SRAM or something? and another problem is I can find the pins on the GPIO_0 from Pin Planner ,but the GPIO_1 pins cant be found,any one can help me?

    I see, that the demonstration projects shipped with DE2 have both GPIO_0 and GPIO_1 pins included in the top level entity and pin assignments, so the pins should be displayed in pin planner. But the pin assignments are also listed in the user manual, so you can restore the assignments, if you possibly have deleted it.

    P.S.: I opened the DE2_Default project, and it shows all GPIO pins in pin planner.

    thanks for ur replying, I found the pin assignment I used is different from the board, I check the right one,then I find them.

    Hi,

    I am having a similar problem getting started with the expansion headers. I would be very thankful if anyone can post something to get started with (example code, etc). Or direct me where I could find something to start with, I have been looking for a while now and havent been able to find anything.
