Cross Correlation of two discrete signals using VHDL on FPGA

Dear All, I am relatively new user of VHDL and FPGA. Kindly can some please help me out. I am trying to implement cross correlation using VHDL on FPGA but do not know how to do that. Does some one know any hints for VHDL code or some links please help.It would be really nice of you!
