Connecting SRAM direct to NIOS - DE2 board

Can I connect SRAM directly to NIOS? Under SRAM tree I have Cypress CY7C1380C SSRAM and IDT71V416 SRAM. I choose 2nd. one. and I can not connect directly SRAM. Must be connected to an Avalon bus?

Normally not. Which pins do you see and which pins do you want to see ?
