Can I probe an altlvds_tx output or altlvds_rx input in stratix iv on DE4?

If I need to probe an altlvds_tx output or altlvds_rx input in stratix iv on DE4?

How to do that? Can I use GPIO to accomplish it? Do I need to set the I/O

standard?
