can I assign differential pair in this way

Since pin 43 of cyclone II is IOBANK4 LVDS 57n and pin 42 is IOBANK 4 LVDS 57p of differential pair . Can I assign pin 43 to be a true of differential signal and let Quartus to assign pin 42 to be a complement one ????

    why not assign the p pin (42)? Quartus will assign the compliment if the I/O standard is differential
