Byte stream devices is not showing up UP USB BLASTER

Dear all

I have a written a basic hello world code and I build the output I got the .elf output But when I try to download .elf file its giving this error,

using cable "usb-blaster [usb-0]", device 1, instance

resetting and pausing target processor: failed

leaving target processor paused

when I tried with the ide its self for configuration I can't find the device name in Target configuration section its blank. Kindly notify me what will be error and rectification for it.

    If the FPGA properly configured and is it getting a clock signal? What hardware are you using? Which FPGA configuration?

    Hi, I have configured it correctly, because the same USB blaster I am dumping my .sof file to the fpga. I am using Stratix V altera in Bittware board.
