Honored ContributorI had the same problem. Furthermore I mailed the following to the webmaster (I had no reply as yet). I don't know whether or not do the links I refer to in the mail appear to be broken because of the unavailability of the download.altera.com server.
Two links appear to be broken, that are found in the following page: https://www.altera.com/downloads/software/faq/installation-faq.html Both links are supposed to lead to instructions how to download or install Altera software from the command line. More precisely, the first one is in the answer to question Can I install ACDS via command line? where the source code is: please refer to <a href="http://quartushelp.altera.com/current/mergedprojects/global/install/gl_view_install.htm" (http://"http://quartushelp.altera.com/current/mergedprojects/global/install/gl_view_install.htm")>Installing Software at the Command Prompt</a> The second broken link is in the answer to question Why do I still get the ?error connecting to the Internet? error message even though I have a working Internet connection and configured my proxy setting correctly? where the source code is: please refer to <a href="http://quartushelp.altera.com/current/mergedprojects/global/install/install_pro_sw_command.htm" (http://"http://quartushelp.altera.com/current/mergedprojects/global/install/install_pro_sw_command.htm")>Downloading and Installing Software at the Command Prompt</a> Furthermore, the reason why I was looking for that information is that I could not download the Quartus Prime software, since my attempts to get the tarball were repeatedly frustrated by the unreachability of the download.altera.com server.
