Bandwidth between FPGA & External Memory

Hello,

Just getting my feet wet with FPGAs & External Memory. On the Altera training, it says that a bandwidth of up to 921 Gbps is possible (slide 3):

[altera dot com]/education/training/courses/OMEM1109

Later on, the "effective rate" is shown as 314 Gpbs, due to controller efficiency (still a lot). But on the web site, the highest number I see is 2,132 Mbps:

[altera dot com]/technology/memory/mem-index.jsp

There's at least two orders of magnitude difference between those figures, so I must be missing something. Is there some kind of multiplier involved in the training video that results in the higher value?
