Can we run an altera program into xilinx platform??? What other library files are required???

Altera_ForumNo, smoke will go up the lab. They are two fierce competitors. Their tools are designed for their target platforms and so far they don't want to live together or with anybody else.
However if you mean portability of HDL code then yes as long as your code is done by inference rather than instantiations.
