Altera DE2 board internal clock

Question

Greetings everyone, I am using altera de2 board for a very simple counting example (3-bit upcounter) in vhdl. But I just can't use the internal clock (Clock_50). I even assign the pins correctly, but I get nothing. I was wondering if anybody could help me in this.

Does the clock work with other example projects? Maybe you have a defective board. How have you specified the clock?
