About WM8731 audio codec

Hi all!

Can WM8731 convert from analog signals to 16-bit digital data with output is ADCDAT pin? I knew that WM8731 can convert to 24 bit digital data, but the samples i need is just 16bit data. I don't know how to solve this problem.

Can anyone help me? If you know it, please help me and instruct me how to do that.
