Reading through the user manual of my new Altera DE2-115 board in the section 2.3 "Power Up the DE2 " I was expecting to display a "Welcome to the Altera DE2-Board" on the LCD as well as other things. Instead, nothing is displayed. How can I fix it?

Check the connection and try to load default configuration Bit stream DE2_115_Default.sof or DE2_115_Default.pof used to demonstrates some of the basic features of the board.
