fpga development tool not responding to user program

Hi,

am using Nios development device stratix II ep2s6f672c3n fpga.

I am doing first program with device. while downloading .sof file from pc to fpga "configuration led "error-Red" blinks."... then finally move to factory program.

what is e root cause?
