Visual Designer Studio, the next-generation system design environment, is now integrated directly into Quartus Prime Pro. Performance Gains

With optimized compiler and architecture improvements, Agilex® 7 designs experience over a 9% reduction in runtime, while Agilex 5 designs see a 5.5% reduction in runtime, all with no increase in memory usage. Additionally, Fmax has been improved, with Agilex 7 seeing a 0.6% improvement and Agilex 5 achieving a 3.3% improvement in restricted Fmax.

Expanded IP Support and System-Level Debugging

Quartus 26.1 expands its support for high-speed connectivity, including enhanced PCIe, Ethernet, and Timing-Systems (TSN). With new system example designs targeting both Agilex 3 and 5, you can accelerate development across networking, video, and memory systems.

In addition, SignalTap™ Python API allows for deeper debugging with a high-performing API using structured arrays, giving you more flexibility in identifying and solving issues in your designs.
