I don't think so! Re: Windows sees USB blaster but Quartus doesn't, why? My problem is specific to my main development PC and only appeared after nearly a year of relatively reliable operation. 1. The target hardware hasn't changed (it's still the same PCB assembly) 2. The problem affects both of my USB blasters 3. There's no problem if I use my laptop 4. There's no problem if I use a colleages PC 5. Restarting the JTAG server doesn't fix it. 6. Restarting Windows does fix it (even without a power cycle) Using a laptop isn't a long term solution, the screen is too small and the compile times are too long. Re: Windows sees USB blaster but Quartus doesn't, why? Help still needed here! Re: Windows sees USB blaster but Quartus doesn't, why? I've done a bit more investigating. I get one configure and one capture in SignalTap and then it dies. A windows restart gets me going again. Unsurprisingly my progress is now non-existent. Re: Windows sees USB blaster but Quartus doesn't, why? Worked not too bad this morning, but lost interest this afternoon. It's taken me 5 goes to log in to this forum so you'll have to forgive the slow response and a less than civil attitude. Nobody here seems to care about the customer experience. Re: Windows sees USB blaster but Quartus doesn't, why? Hmm, working this morning. Genuine Terasic, working environment hasn't changed so no obvious EMC changes Re: Windows sees USB blaster but Quartus doesn't, why? But it works on a different PC. Please read the whole thread. Re: Windows sees USB blaster but Quartus doesn't, why? I've only got one target board, so it's the same target I've been using all year Re: Windows sees USB blaster but Quartus doesn't, why? Well the target board hasn't changed, and I've not knowingly changed anything on Quartus-Windows, but that's still where my suspicion rests. SignalTap is reasonably reliable on a different Windows 10 PC with the same version and ditto on my Windows 11 laptop, so I have evidence that both my Blasters and my target board are fine. Is there no way of persuading Quartus to reveal a few more error diagnostics? Re: Windows sees USB blaster but Quartus doesn't, why? Terasic blaster and custom board. I've been using this combo successfully for a year now, so I'm asking myself "What's changed?"
