Wrong hostid on SERVER line for license file:

Description

In your debug.log file, you may see the following error if you have the incorrect hostid in your license file:

14:31:56 (mgcld) Wrong hostid on SERVER line for license file:
14:31:56 (mgcld)               <license file>
14:31:56 (mgcld) SERVER line says <incorrect hostid>, hostid is "<correct hostid>"
14:31:56 (mgcld) Invalid hostid on SERVER line
14:31:56 (lmgrd) alterad exited with status 25 (Invalid host)
14:31:56 (lmgrd) Please correct problem and restart daemons

Resolution

To work around this problem, rehost your license file to use the correct hostid. For instruction on rehosting your license, refer to Rehosting a license in the Licensing Altera Software section of Altera Software Installation and Licensing (PDF).
