Why does the NEEK application selector not work properly after updating the flash to kit version 11.0.0?

Description

After following the factory recovery instructions for the Neek kit installation version 11.0.0, you may find that the FPGA will boot and show the application selector. However, the demonstration images contained on the SD card will not load correctly.

A problem has been found caused by cached application images that are resident in the flash device.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, erase the entire flash device before performing the factory recovery by using the following command from a Nios® II Command Shell:

nios2-flash-programmer --base=0x04000000 --erase-all
