Why does the ALTLVDS_RX megafunction only show an input clock frequency of 100 MHz?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 10.1 SP1 and earlier, the ALTLVDS_RX MegaWizard™ Plug-In may incorrectly display a constant 100 MHz value for the input clock frequency when running on 64-bit Windows platforms.

 

To work around this problem, review the related solution below. If this does not resolve your problem, a patch is available to fix this problem for the Quartus II software versions 10.1 and 10.1SP1. Download and install the appropriate patch from the links below:

• For the Quartus II software version 10.1:

•  For the Quartus II software version 10.1 SP1:

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future version of the Quartus II software.
