Why does my secure Stratix II or Stratix II GX device, which has been programmed with a Design Security key, fail to configure from an Active Serial (AS) configuration device which has been programmed with an encrypted .pof

Description

Configuration of a secure Stratix® II or Stratix II GX device from an AS configuration device which has been programmed with an AES encrypted programming file only works if compression was enabled when generating the encrypted programming file. Uncompressed encrypted programming files will fail to configure the secure Stratix II or Stratix II GX device.

This is fixed in Quartus® II design software version 8.0.
