Why does Cyclone® IV GX device EP4CGX30F484 does not support various protocols listed in the device handbook?

Description

Cyclone® IV GX device EP4CGX30F484 does not support various protocols due to a bug in Quartus® II software version 10.0 SP1 and earlier. This issue is fixed in Quartus II 10.1 software. 

Resolution

You can upgrade to Quartus II version 10.1 if you need to use this device with the previously unsupported protocol.
