Why do I get "Error: Cannot open WinDriver device" when running the APEX™ 20KE device peripheral component interconnect (PCI) development kit application?

Description

This error occurs if the PCI development kit application is looking for the following driver files in the wrong location:

• windrvr.sys
• wdpnp.sys

These two files should be located in the <Windows installation directory>\system32\drivers directory. If they are not, copy the files into this directory to fix the problem.
