Why do I get an overlapping section error during linkage stage of building software in the Nios II Integrated Development Environment (IDE)?

Description

If you have a dual-port memory in your Nios® II system, and only the second Avalon® slave port is mastered by the processor, you might see an overlapping section error during linking stage of building your software.

To workaround this problem, make sure that the first Avalon slave port of the dual-port memory is also mastered by the Nios II processor in SOPC Builder. The processor does not have to master the second port.
