Why do I get a configuration error when using Quartus II version 5.0 Programmer to program the EPCS device successfully but Stratix® II active serial configuration fails when using a compressed POF?

Description

This problem with AS compressed mode will be solved in Quartus® II software version 5.0 SP1. Before Quartus II software version 5.0 SP1 is available, the temporary solution is available with a patch to fix this problem. Please request for the patch through mySupport.

This problem is design dependent meaning some designs may encounter an issue while others do not.

Stratix II Active serial configuration works correctly when the EPCS is programmed with an uncompressed POF.
