Why am I unable to resize a window in the Quartus II GUI?

Description

Sometimes when resizing a window in the Quartus® II GUI, the window size may appear to be stuck and you may be unable to change it back to the default setting.

Resolution

To work around this issue, delete the Quartus II GUI settings file quartus2.qreg. Deleting this file will restore the default GUI settings for the Quartus II software. This file is located in the following directory:

• For Windows, C:\Documents and Settings\<user name> or C:\Users\<user name>
• For Linux, ~/.altera.quartus
