Error: Failed to refresh PTF file *.ptf

Description

Due to a compatibility problem between legacy Quartus® II Software versions and current Cygwin versions, you might see this error when generating systems using SOPC Builder.

Resolution

To work around this problem, upgrade to Cygwin version 2.11.1 or later.
