Error: Current module quartus_map ended unexpectedly

Description

You may see this error in the Quartus® II software version 10.1 and 10.1 SP1, if the file /etc/issue has been edited on Linux operating systems.

To work around this problem, restore the original contents of /etc/issue supplied with your operating system.

A patch is available to fix this problem for the Quartus II software version 10.1. To work around this issue, download and install the patch from the links below:

• Download the version 10.1 patch 0.48 for Linux (.tar)
• Download the Readme for the Quartus II software version 10.1 patch 0.48 (.txt)

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 11.0.
