Error (12009): Node "*altsyncram*auto_generated|q_a[0]" is missing source

Description

You may encounter this error in the Quartus® II Software versions 13.0 SP1 and earlier if you manually instantiate the altsyncram component in your design.

The specific problem occurs if you connect up the q_a port of the altsyncram instantiation for an implementation that does not actually use the q_a port.

Resolution

To avoid the error, remove the q_a port from the altsyncram instantiation if it is not required in your design.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
