Description

This error occurs when you start the Modelsim^®-Altera^® simulator if you have installed a version of the ModelSim-Altera simulator into the same directory as a previously installed version.

To avoid this problem, install the software versions in different directories. To fix the error, uninstall both versions of the ModelSim-Altera simulator, delete the directory and reinstall the simulator into a new directory.
