Why won't my Arria V GX bonded transceiver instance fit in Banks GXB_R0 and GXB_R1?

Description

In Arria® V GX 18-transceiver devices, the upper three transceiver channels of bank GXB_R0 are unavailable for bonding. Any transceiver instances that must bond across banks GXB_R0 and GXB_R1 will not fit. These unavailable three channels are highlighted in Figure 1-2, Volume 2 of the Arria V Handbook.

Resolution

For transceiver instances that must bond across two transceiver banks in an 18-channel Arria V GX device, the transceivers must be placed in bank GXB_L0 and GXB_L1.
