Why is there a mismatch between the Fitter Place stage Resource Usage Summary and the Fitter Summary when Fast Preservation is enabled?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software, you may see that the logic utilization reported in the place stage Resource Usage Summary is different to the logic utilization reported in the Fitter Summary when Fast Preservation is enabled.

Resolution

The utilization reported in the Place stage Resource Usage Summary is correct.

This problem is fixed beginning with version 20.1 of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software.
