Why is the programable slew rate control assignment ignored when using calibrated on-chip termination (OCT)?

When using calibrated OCT, you cannot use the programmable slew rate feature.

The device handbooks may only state that you cannot use the programmable slew rate feature when using OCT Rs. Even if you are not using OCT Rs for bidirectional pins, the programmable slew rate feature is not available when using OCT Rt.
