Why is the F-Tile HDMI IP Design Example not working in Transition Minimized Differential Signaling (TMDS) mode running at data rate <1Gpbs with 5x oversampling?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.4 onwards, the F-Tile HDMI IP Design Example fails to run at 480p and 720p resolution in Transition Minimized Differential Signaling (TMDS) mode with data rates running at  <1Gpbs with 5x oversampling.  

 

 

Resolution

There is no workaround for this problem. This problem has been fixed beginning with version 23.3 of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
