Why is my USB-Blaster download cable not recognized by the Quartus II Stand-Alone Programmer version 11.0?

Description

Due to a problem with the Quartus® II software version 11.0, the Stand-Alone Programmer does not recognize USB-Blaster™ download cables.

To work around this problem, use one of the following software packages, available from the Altera Download Center:

• The Programmer included in the full Quartus II software version 11.0, either the Subscription Edition or the Web Edition
• The Quartus II Stand-Alone Programmer version 10.1 SP1

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future version of the Quartus II Stand-Alone Programmer.

Resolution

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 11.0 SP1.
