Why doesn't the Frame Buffer IP generate a simulation model?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software for Linux version 13.1, the MegaWizard™ Plug-In Manager fails to generate a simulation model for the Frame Buffer IP and issues the following error message.
Error: Simulation model map command failed

Resolution

To work around this problem, generate the simulation model using the Quartus II software for Windows version 13.1 or add the Frame Buffer IP to a Qsys system and generate a simulation model for that.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
