Why does the System Console freeze when accessing the Low Latency Ethernet 10G MAC statistics counters?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime software version 15.1 and earlier, System Console will freeze when accessing the Low Latency Ethernet 10G MAC statistics counters during data-path reset.

Resolution

To work around this problem, avoid accessing Low Latency Ethernet 10G MAC statistics counters during the data-path reset state.

This problem has been fixed in the Quartus Prime version 16.0.
