Why does the SignalTap II Logic Analzyer append "(1)" when creating aliases?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 13.0, when creating aliases in the SignalTap™ II Logic Analyzer, the characters (1) will be appended to the alias entered.

Resolution

To work around this problem, after the alias is updated, edit it to remove the (1) characters.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 13.0 SP1.
