Why does the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer freeze when creating aliases?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 13.0, the SignalTap™ II Logic Analyzer may freeze when creating aliases.

Resolution

To work around this problem, create aliases in the Setup tab since the hang only occurs in the Data tab.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 13.0 SP1.
